FAQ:

Q: What is a ‘day’ or ‘evening’ of ‘preproduction’ or ‘production’?

A: A day of work is typically 5-8 hours of in person recording ideally with sufficient time the prior day to prepare the session as well as an hour or two of teardown upon finishing. An evening is typically 3-5 hours of work in person with a half hour of prep/teardown. Production entails access to any and all of my equipment (please inquire if you need any specific tools to make particular sounds happen) as well as time spent chasing after the best performances and sonics whereas preproduction is a typically live performance being captured on location. Preproduction helps to get the most out of production sessions, making them more efficient by improving song arrangements and helping me make some tonal decisions ahead of production sessions.

Q: Can you master my recording?

A: I have mastered a handful of projects before but typically prefer not to. I like to have another pair of ears hearing and helping with the final mix; whether that’s someone I’ve worked with before or an engineer of your preference. Reach out to see if I can assist in that role but may opt to point you toward someone else who would be better suited to the specific project.

Q: Can you release my recording?

A: No, physical and digital releases are out of my scope at this time.

Q: Can you mix the project I recorded?

A: Yes! Get in touch below with specifics about your project and I’ll be happy to help out.
